Austria and other countries call for application of anti-deforestation regulation to be suspended

At the Agriculture Council on Monday 29 April, the Austrian minister for agriculture, Norbert Totschnig, supported by several of his counterparts, once again called on the European Commission to give countries more time to implement the regulation on combating deforestation (see EUROPE B13212A30).
